Individual Intervention Sessions
Occupational Therapy intervention sessions are designed to meet individual child’s interests, strengths and goals. Goals are created closely with the child parents, teachers and other allied health professionals. Your child will participate in many play-based activities to increase their independence in the classroom, home and social environment. Areas of development include:

Social Groups
Social Skills Programs aim to provide your child will a full repertoire of skills to increase their independence in the classroom, school, home and social setting.
Westmead Feelings Program 1
The Westmead Feelings Program teaches children about emotional understanding and social awareness, in close collaboration with parents, teachers and facilitators. Children will learn to understand and recognise emotions, express their intensities and skills to implement to regulate.
LEGO® Based Therapy
LEGO® Based Therapy helps children develop a number of skills, such as fine motor, flexible thinking, concentration, team work, problem solving, social and emotional skills while having fun with peers!


Assessment & Reports
Comprehensive, standardised assessments can be conducted to asses your child's development. Reports detailing a child’s assessment results, strengths, areas for improvement and progress over the course of intervention can be provided upon request.
Intensive Therapy
Intensive programs are run alongside Nash Speech Pathology. The school holidays are a great time to facilitate intensive sessions and improve your child's retention of skills & progress on their goals using a collaborative and individualised approach! Benefits include:

Home & School Visits
Home and School visits enables the OT to analyse and treat the problems and difficulties your child is having performing everyday tasks in their natural environment.
Our occupational therapists can provide classroom strategies and liaise directly with your child's teacher's and educators to support your child in the classroom and playground. During a school visit, the occupational therapists can analyse and provide strategies on seating position, behaviour management, handwriting, visual disturbances, distractions, sensory integration behaviours, social and emotional skills.
Functional Capacity Assessments
A Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) for children is a specialised evaluation designed to measure a child’s physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities in relation to their everyday activities, school tasks, and play.
The assessment includes a combination of observations, standardized tests, and questionnaires to evaluate a child’s strength, coordination, flexibility, attention span, learning abilities, and social skills.
